I had a pair of the Focal Poly 13's and I LOVED EM'! Can't say much about the other 2 but the G2's are supposed to be a great sub. Not to mention they're not making them anymore.... After a few years you won't hardly see any BA car stuff,

i know, i know you hardly see the focal's that much anymore either.....i just cant decided which set to go with b/c all are comparable as far as specifications, price, performance, etc. that's why i need to be swayed one way or the other

$300 at the most, looking for entry to mid level sub mainly for sq and daily please dont give me anymore suggestions b/c i'm already dead set on these 3 after a long process of elimination

In my opinion.

1) Alpine Type S : Alpine is a fairly value driven brand that has usually offered pretty decent gear in the lower price range. Too, the underhung design of the new Type S speakers points to the R&D Alpine has put into their new subs.

2) Boston G2 : BA was a very value driven brand IMO; and offered products that were top notch for each price range from budget to higher end. Well known for having good SQ throughout their line up too.

3) Focal P 30: Focal just has never impressed me with their lower lines. I feel like you're paying for the name with Focal gear. Up until you reach the K2 lines of Focal, they can beat for the price pretty easily IMO.

No experience but I'd trust them to do well. I remember reading a solid review on them somewhere and I loved my CTX components for the money.

I'd recommend the IDs over the CTX if your goal is SQ. Just browse the forums and CL for good used deals. I snatched my ID10 for 40 bucks and the guy even threw in his enclosure.

so ID's should be my first choice then right? As far as all the subs i have listed i think its going to be out of the focal and ID's the only problem is nobody can really vouch for either of these entry level subs. lol
