As long as it's not bottoming out I see no problem with it...but you may not see as long of a life out of it if it's run like that all the time.I have to bring this thread back.... is this really good for the k2p woofer??
The K2P set is VERY efficient. When I had mine I ran 100 watts to each side and it got loud enough to where I didn't want to turn it up anymore, still sounding clean as ever. If I were going active I'd put 100 per mid, 50 per tweeter...or just get a 100x4 amp and have some overhead for the tweets. I'm sure you could put more on the mids, but it isn't needed.WHat kind of power do people run on these speakers active? I think I heard somewhere around the range of 150-200 per mid?.....what about the tweets?
I was acctually planning on running K2p's when I do get a newer car this year and start a fresh new system in that car.The K2P set is VERY efficient. Also, if you're planning on running K2P's active, be sure and check on the impedences of the individual speakers so that you purchase adequate power.
