Foam On Box Walls - Any gain? Change box size?

Im curious if I should line my box with some thick light foam that looks about the density of a thin foam matress youd take camping. My grandpa has a few rols of the stuff he said I could have. Would it be beneficial to line my walls with it?

The manufacturer recomended 8 cubes for my box and thats what Im going to build it to (starting in about 10 minutes) and tuned to 38hz. If I line the box with this foam on the walls, will it change my tune and what not or will there be any beneficial gains?
