They don't "sound" any different than an equivalent conventional cone. You cannot key in on one aspect of a speaker and assume that is the cause of any sound differences. A speaker is a working assembly that relies on each component, and their interaction with each other, in order to form a final performance characteristic.

Yea, I guess my prof. with a masters in acoustics is an idiot and about 10 published books are wrong.

plus the ideas where a bit unorginazed and unfinished cause i rushed th post in like 5 minutes off the top of my head. What i wrote doesnt make sene:crap:.

Well you started this debate so you may as well get crackin...

I want to see exactly what it was your prof was talking about.....and he should really get his hands on some current transducer models and play with them....
