fixing melted V.C. on alpine type r

That's not the coil, that's the terminal. That is IMO most likely manufacturer defect since the actual coil should burn first if it were an over-powering issue. Anyway, you may be able to gob some solder on there and fill that gap, if that doesn't work you can toss it, or try your luck with a type R recone kit available on eBay.
so what would u say exactly happened?... i had 2 of them being powered by 1 fosgate t1000.1bd... maybe a wiring issue?

 
i tried but when i did it showed up as a little box with a red x .. so i guess i did something wrong?
