I have a 99 subary legacy, the inside dimensions of my trunk are

16" by 42" by 34"

OR

17" by 42" by 30"

....I was hoping to put an 18" RE SX back there...the only problem will be wether or not i can get it IN.

Betweet the tailights there is about 32"...if you need any more info i got my tape measure!

EDIT : I think its needs to be 6.5^3, looking for a design(maybe a website that creates them?) or someone to make it for me.

well I ain't going to do it for you but it's possible... just use two things to figure it out..

A) L x W x H = area

B) divide ^ by 1728 to get cubic ft

now figure out for yourself if it'll fit... remember to use measurements that you can actually slide into the trunk... you will feel stupid when you build something that would fit but is too big to get through the opening (I've done it)....

that comes out to more than 11 cubes, I COULD build it myself (it would be my first) but i would need a design, or even better yet someone could build it for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

don't forget you have to fit it in the trunk (through the trunk lid) and it has to allow it to close.

If it's a sealed box it'd be very easy to design... if it's ported it's a little harder, and since I've never found a reason to use a ported box since I prefer sealed or infinite baffle.

It is also gonna depend on the size and shape of you trunk opening. You may not get a box large enough to be built outside and place in through the normal opening. You may have to go with either building the box inside of the trunk or building it outside and removing some metal from behind the seat and inserting it from the cabin. A box for a single 18 ported is not going to be small and that trunk isn't large! JMHO...Polo.

When finding out the area dont forget to multiply by .75 to accomadate for the thickness of the wood.
