First time metering....147.5 today

Nice Job! Did ya fix the hurt woofa?
I reconed it this past thursday and threw it in that night. Played it alittle. After about 3-4 hours of some break I threw some power at it and I thought one of the dang spiders ripped again. So before the comp I decided to say f it and played it full tilt for a few songs. Sure enough I think the other spiders needed to break in as the top spiders break in first. Never made a bad noise during the comp and everything seems great now.

Now I just need to think of some new plans/setup. Gonna make a box tuned to around 40ish hz and see what that may do. Burp box maybe. I'll be seeing a 150;)

must be the box because it was pretty stuck on peaking at 40-41hz
x2 yeah it was stuck on 40-41 hz

it may be nice that I can actually build a daily box where it peaks.

Hey profundus-sanus, were you the guy helpin me on that last metering? Appreciate it. I had a blast

Nice job for your first comp bro... Good score, but that setup definately has a good amount more in it. Play around w/ sum new boxes and i'd suggest sum 8" or 10" aeros.
my 10 pvc thats in the setup right now was hard as hell to find...not to mention pricey$$$

I'm gonna try some more boxes tho.....lots of port area (20 sq in/cube) and tune a box to around 42 hz, maybe build a box with interchangeable ports

Try to get the 10" Sonotubes (tubes used to pour concrete) and fiberglass/resin the inside to harden it. Alot cheaper than 10" PVC.

I know, I called everywhere within 100 miles, and for some reason 10" is hard to find in michigan...

it should be well worth the wait, when you do get a chance to hear it.
