First time install.. Shopping list help?

Hi all,

So, I recently got a 2011 F-150 standard cab truck, and the factory sound is just awful. Def needs an upgrade.

I've never had an aftermarket system before, but I'm pretty confident I can handle the install, but I'd also appreciate any tips or wisdom.

Here's what I'm thinking I'm going to get.. let me know if anything seems out of order.

First off, an AudioControl LC2i(..after mulling it over, I want to keep the factory head unit.)

Pioneer D9500F Amp (75w x 2 to the door speakers and 200w x 1 to the sub)

A pair of pioneer TS-D6802R 6x8 speakers for the front doors.

Then, for a sub behind the driver's seat, something like the Pioneer TS-SWX251 or TS-SWX310 or maybe a JL Audio CS112TG-W1v2. Not sure what would be a good match for the amp.

My goal is just a clean sounding system with a fair amount of low-end oomph as well. I'm totally open to suggestions on any of the components. From what I've read, it seems like that amp alone should do the trick for me in 3 channel mode, but I'd appreciate any input before I place the order.

I'm thinking a good location for the amp would be out of sight under the passenger seat. The LC2i, I'm thinking those are maybe usually hidden under or behind the dash?

Also, any advice on wiring kits? I wish monoprice.com a car audio section.

Thanks for your help!

(I hope that's enough info, I had links to all the products, but had to go back and edit them out of my first post. blah)

I'd look into a Ssa DCON for the sub. Also if money is a issue take a look at parts express aura sound buyout. The amps are very nice (oldschool) I don't know about the speakers, but you will not find a neo magnet speaker set for near that price.

Thanks for the replies.

I'd like to keep it all under a grand.

Cheaper is always better, but I don't mind paying more for quality, especially if there's good reason for it and it's something I could use in future vehicles. (or sell easily if not)
