Would I benefit from a second battery?

Stock alt and under hood battery in a 2000 neon. 0 gauge to the trunk for power only. I have a Kinetik HC600 sitting here and curious if it would help at all. Is it fine to ground the amp and rear battery to the same location in the trunk?. Im running a RF Punch 501S (500 or so rms @ 4 ohms) and a capacitor (Just for the voltage gauge on it and it was a freebie so what the hell)....

0 gauge run from front to back, ground from back batt to chassis is 0 gauge and amp to chassis is 8 gauge (biggest the amp accepts)....front grounds are stock wiring. Big 3 will be done soon.

its overkill but good if you plan on upgrading... my question though.. if you have 0 guage running from hood battery to back (im assuming to amp) but then you say 8 guage is the biggest it accepts... how do you have 0 guage then...

Your power and ground should really be the same size. even if your running it to a distro block and say a foot and half to your amps would still get you better results
