This will be my first system. I am hesitant to order everything until I'm positive that my choices are the best for me. I'm on a tight budget, I want the sub and amp to be around $500 or less. Right now, I'm planning on getting this:

1 15" Fi SSD Dual 1ohm

1 Kicker ZX750.1 Amplifier

KnuKonceptz Complete 4 gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

I will build the box. 3.5 cu ft @ 33hz

Plans:

I drive a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmtd w/ the Infinity Gold.

Any suggestions, input, or criticism?

So with the Sub, Amp, Box, and then amp wiring kit, and speaker wire I should have everything I need to get it started right? Should I pick up one of those speaker terminals to put on the box for wiring?

For the box, I heard the sub should be facing up and the port to the back.

Someone told me that because I have a Jeep GC Limited with the Infinity that the installation would be harder and more complicated, is that true? I think I'm going to see how much it costs to get it professionally installed and see of its worth it.

does the box look good?

I don't know if I'll have room to cut a hole in the top for the sub, so I might have to put it in the front with the port and then have both facing up.

Can't go wrong with any of the chosen equipment. Def upgrade to 0ga now. the box looks good. The ssd will love it. I agree with the sub up port back in most cases, but every install is different. What are your overall goals? What kind of music do you listen too?

I want to add bass to my music that I can hear and feel. I want something with good SQ but that can also get a little loud. Dont get me wrong though, I'm not looking to get into competitions or ruin eardrums, but a little noise won't hurt.

I listen to a lot of stuff. No punk, emo, or country, but a lot of rock and rap.

if your TRUELY sure you wont upgrade to a more powerful system that 4gauge wiring kit should be able to handle your sub/amp just fine without any problems

reason i say this is because you said your on a budget and a nice quality 0gauge wiring kit can cost x3 times more than the Knu 4gauge

and also if you buy the 0 gauge and dont plan to upgrade in the future its a waste of money
