hello everyone i am going to attempt my first time ever designing myfirst sub box to custom fit in were the rear ash trayin the center of the rear were the bump is in the middle of the car (96 maxima)

well some one posted a link to JL's website i am guessing and the factory specs for a sealed box are

16" x 9" x 8"

w h d

our idea is to make our box 12" x 9" x 12" thing is is this the like internal area of the box? or is it the measurement the box has to b on the outside?? im confused can i get some professional advice?? thx

btw the sub is a 8w3v2-d4 8" JL subwoofer and i wasnt to make a sealedbox thx

ermmm i dont understand wat all that means lol i just want to install this sub in the back in the tight area that i want to put it in and i want to get best performance out of it i can achieve thx

you want to put a box in a space thats 12x9x12 right??

that only gives you .47 cubic feet before the sub get put in (sub displaces volume )

so volume would get even smaller

what does that manual say for minimal sealed enclosure??

ummm it says 16x9x8 im just trying to customize this box so it fits in were i want it to go and still get best performance so im so confussed wat should i do?? i have no clue what my Depth Height and Width measurements should be ermm

ok it says .30 net so you can build it to those dims if you want

should perform well

can you build it or do you need it built for you and shipped

hell cuz u are trying i'll build and ship for $60

**** man if i had that money i would do it to but **** idk were u get all these numbers from and btw u think an old punch 100 would be great for this sub?? also u sure these dims are good enough to get best performance?

yeah i'm in the middle of a few builds so i could knock it out quick for him and he'd have it it by nxt fri lol i even have access to a few maximas so i might even jazz it up a bit

punch 100 lol that is old is it a 100is? yes if amp works yes it'll do well

i would go a little bigger

it can be done easy go find $75 bux and i'll build you a nice ported box that will straddle the hump in middle
