I accidentally posted this in the classifieds at first, my bad. I accidentally put a hole in the tweeter when I was installing my Polk mmc6500 component set. I'm seeing if there is a cheaper, or maybe a similarly priced but better, alternative to getting a replacement from Polk. Could I run different tweeters with the Polk mids and crossovers? Or can I get a set of tweeters and crossovers and use my Polk mids?

As I said in the other thread, Yes you can put on diffrent tweets but they need to be the same ohms and have a close freqency range. Most crossovers are set up for those specific tweeters and mids.

My bad, I missed that. The crossover frequency is 2600Hz, and it's a 4 ohm tweeter. Any suggestions for a good tweeter that would match that? I listen to mostly rock, and I want something that's not too harsh.

No prob, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Ill try looking around at some tweeter specs and see if I can come up with something.
