I just entered my first spl comp and hit 140.9(first run) then a 142(seconed run)

with 1 15.

just wondering if this was a good score?

5 cubed box 70sq inch port 2 sony 1200's class D each running at 2 ohm stable so that 600 rms each.

Get rid of the Sony's, pick yourself up some nice amps and that score will rise significantly...

We need the background information before we can tell you if it's a good score or not.

Like...if you were running 8 9515's and 16, 000 watts...I would have told you that your score is shit lol.

So what mic was it on? And what vehicle was it in?

but the sony's were cheap

and the box I got off the dd website and it sounds like the box was desingd for sq

does anyone know a good spl box for a dd9515e?

and is 142 good or bad?

It's decent - though the potential is there for you to do better. Now if only you would tell us what vehicle you have and what the score was on. That would make life a lot easier for us, and make you a lot louder.

I have my 9515's in about 15 cubes.

it wthe old mic and it's in a 1989 ford thunderbird

Bump it up to about 7-8 ft^3, tune it high, (40-50 hz), get a little more port area, get an amp for each coil, maybe a JBL 1200.1 or MTX 81000d, something along those lines, or maybe a modded PHD2 (unless it's a daily driver), and your score will go up...

142 is pretty good, but not too great...depends on what mic...

im going to a comp next weekend wit my 3 15 inch k's in a 13+ cubic foot wall tuned to 45hz, there running 500 watts a piece im hoping to break 150, do yall think i will??

I hit the 140.9 on 38hz and my seconed run I turned the box towards the trunk and listend to a sweep and got the 142

On an AC, I'd imagine you'd break 150...
