I went to my first competition and hit a 138.9 with my 2 12" mmats pro-casts sealed with a jbl 1200.1. I'm pretty happy with my score but i know it can get louder. A guy with the same subs as me in a ported box and a little more power hit 152! I think i'll go ported.

hey good job. what did he have them tuned to do you know? but for comps, def port those suckas

yeah, nice score but with a better box (ported ofcourse) and maybe a few other things you can peolly hit mid 140's

i dont know what they were tuned to. I'm not sure if each sub can handle 1200 watts. Also, if i port the box will i lose ALOT of SQ

well...if you can manage it...just put the ported box in for comps and use the sealed for dd
