This is my first box i built by myself so dont be too harsh lol but it is 5 cubes at 37 herts made from 3/4" particle board i have no pics of the construction because my digital camera is a cheap-o and can't takes pics at night. the front peice is also particle board but has some paint or something on it because i ran out of wood and wanted to finish anyways but IMO it dont look to bad with that anyways. the box is put together with screws and liquid nails and sealed with white silicone

I guess you had some spare 3/4" particle board or something. I would suggest using 3/4" MDF. The sub cutouts are good though. Is the front baffle flush with the rest of the box?! It doesn't look like it. Plan for it to be flush next time.

there was a brace in the back of the port at the time of the pic but i did put 6 triangle braces in later on and yea the front is not flush with the rest of the box because the plans i was going on said that the front should be 12.5 inches and be between the top and bottome peices but that would make it difficult to squeeze my 12 in but i am going to make it flush....the front piece is particle board with paint on it from a shelf of some sort but it kind of sets it off in the car and looks pretty decent....getting this thing in the back of my 91 grand prix was a whole nother story lol

yea trhats to many screws that many screws can weaken the structure

there arent as many screws on other parts of the box i guess i just got a little crazy with the drill near the end haha

and the screws are counter sunk to some extent only some stick just a hair above the surface of the wood

yeah the port is supposed to be flush with the front piece. hehe and i thought that i used a lot of screws
