its very well sealed. i used silicone on the inner and outer parts of the joints. and then i put fiberglass resin on top of the silicone. I know it looks kinda crappy but as long as it functions im happy.

what was the reason for using fiberglass, did you have big gaps to fill?

no there was one hole I had to cut so the magnet could fit. That's what I glassed over.

got ya. Sanding with a dremel is NOT the way to do it. Get a palm or orbital sander...

sanded down the top and also scuffed up the back to repaint. Gave it a shot of scratch filler/primer and now I'm gonna paint and then clear. Should be installed tonight or tomorrow.
