1 MTX 10'' Thunder 5500 150-300W RMS@4 ohm in a MTX "loudest 10 on the block" ported box
boss ava-550 2 channel bridged 100W Rms X 2, bridged 200W RMS@4 ohm
The mtx bass setup I have owned now for about 7 years. I paid 50 for the box/sub at a pawn shop and I've had crappy newer boss amps that claim 1000W max on it and it would produce enough bass to make my nose itch. It may not give high SQ but I'm not looking for the best, I'm just trying to have mids and highs that can match the bass and a clear sound with little distortion at levels slightly above max output of my current setup. Any input welcomed. Not sure if my basic setup should require me to use new speaker wire/dynomat/6.5 enclosure and what not. I wish I had the money for a DEh80prs and some jbl high end components but this will have to be a budget build.
