firing subs in a hatch

i have a scion tc(a hatchback). what is the best way to fire ported subs in a hatch? both sub and port straight up, both back or one up one back?

right now i have it at kind of an angle. it's pointing more up than back though. it's pretty much right at the same angle that the back window is. it sounds good to me but just wondering what people have come up with.

Port back and sub back have worked well for me to the ear. Sub up and port back made me lose some low end but it got noticeably louder around 45-60hz. I'll stick to sub back port back in my car. I drive a '99 integra hatch.

i've had best results firing both back.

but....i had great results, firing both up, when i had the rest of the hatch sealed (bottom sealed)

The TC is a strange hatch. I have one and have done a lot of testing. So far, sub up port up has worked the best for me. Have done a 144.2 at the head with a 15" Q and a Sundown 1500d. This is in a 3cf box tuned to 34hz.

nice. it's good to see another tc owner on here. sounds like a good number.

i tried both back before and like the way it sounded with them both facing up. everything also rattled more with both facing the rear. i had a type-r ten(the old school one) in a box with the sub pointing back and the port facing up. it was my first box and i didn't think it out when i built it so it didn't sound to good. i used a 3 inch port so it was port noise heaven. then tried a 4 inch port but i had to have a 90 degree bend in it to tune it the way i wanted which still had a lot of port noise.
