firing configuration??

getting ready to start a new box build for my 2 12" alpine type r's. there going in a 96 dodge dakota extended cab. i was kinda confused on which way to fire the subs and vent. i was thinking the normal subs and port forward but now i have been reading a little bit and some people are saying that subs up and port up sound better in trucks. so i figured i would ask everyones opinion. what would be better? subs and port forward or subs and port up? thanks for any input given.

i liked my box and sub facing the rear passengers door the best when i moved my box around in a ram quadcab.

i dont really have the space to face them both to the side

sub up port firing to the side usually does really well in a truck...might wanna try that
