Fired from my job....for the most bullshit reason.

So basicly ive been working at home cheapo for the past two months, my aunt (which shares the same last name as myself) got hired 4 weeks after i got hired, which i knew right away was going to be a big mistake.
Anyways to make a long story short pay day last week, i asked for my check, told the lady my first name and last name and spelled it out. She handed me my envolope, i open it up and it turns out to be my aunts check. Well it just so happens that my aunt didnt like that and turned me in to the store manager, and i got fired this morning.

Ive been told i can protest it and what not but i realy dont know the legal system that much to do something about it with out some help so if anyone can lend a hand in this that would be awsome...

What did you do with her check? Cash it or something?? I don't understand why you would get fired for someone else's mistake.

There is a certine department you can turn the company in for. I recently quit my old job because my manager CHRIS CULLEY AT VERNON HILLS BEST BUY kinda sucked, so we wrote a letter to a department where you report stuff like that......

Getting fired for a BS reasons is in that same category.

he said shit on her hood. LMFAO. that is classic i'll have to do that next time. the only thing is when i have to poo i do it . dont know if i could hold it that long.

make sure you eat as much 15 bean soup as possible.

This is what I am wanting to know - if you didn't do anything with the check other than return it once you realized it wasn't yours I cannot see that you have done anything to warrant termination.

Unless you were hiding in the payroll department and put her check in an envelope with your name on it intentionally there's nothing you've done wrong (at least in the story you have related to us thus far)

Assuming you are telling us the truth you most assuredly need to appeal the termination. If there isn't an avenue to pursue an appeal within the company (and as big as Home Depot is I would imagine their Human Resources department has got to be pretty freggin big) then you need to contact your local branch of the labor department and file a wrongful dismissal claim.

Now if there is some crucial information missing from your account of what has occurred then I call //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gif 'cause I just cannot imagine a company as big as Home Depot doing something that could so easily get them in a very, very deep pot of hot water. Companies with hiring/firing practices as shady as what you have described have a tendency to not become nationwide corporations.

your aunt must have lied to get you fired. you didnt do anything wrong... the person handed you the wrong envelope

id go back there and cause lots of trouble and threaten to sue them

but i wouldnt want my job back

if i was working for a bunch of douches like that , fvck em man, and never turn back

Boomnblzr-Noone in my family knew she was hired, she said nothing at the family xmas gathering and 2 days after that i found out myself on her first day of work. HR/ASM/SM never asked me or told me anything.

nbm02ws6-HR wasnt their, it was 5:30 in the morning as i work 3rd shift fright.
