Finding the perfect sub

The amp: 1550 watts at 2ohms and 850 at 4ohms.

Current sub: 15" mb quart pwe 352 in a sealed 2.2 ft^3 box.

Option1: Get another sub of the same kind Since the math would work out perfectly with that amp and sub.

Option2: Fine another sub or subs and a box for under $500 total that would be louder than two 15" mb quart subs with that amp.

Actually it's probably best if i stick to wiring stuff to 850 watts (4ohms) my alternator is stock, i have one battery and i've never done the big 3. So 1550 watts plus the 300 for my components would push me pretty far.

With that amp could i wire to 2ohms and turn the gains down to get about 1000-1200? or wire for 4 ohms and get about 1000 to 1200?

any chance an audioque HDC315 or an Fi BL 15" would be good for that amp and a nice ported box

any ideas?

i was thinking about 2x 15" audioque sdc2.5 subs but they only come in dvc 4ohm which wouldnt be able to be wired for 2ohm over all load of the amp.

90% of the sound will be box dependent. make sure the box is done right.

what amp is it btw? how big is the stock alty? 4awg or 0awg wiring?

i recommend adding a optima or kinetik battery in the trunk. It'll make a world of difference. Check your local craigslist for these bats, you can ussually find them for 100 or less.

IMO, a xxx 15 in 3.5cubs @ 30Hz. zues has some for sale right now that are d2's i think.
