find me a nice headunit?

i have had an alpine CDA-9856. you can't change colors but i never had a single problem with it. and i had the ipod cable with it aswell and it it was a very easy unit to use. i would highly recommend it. i'm just not sure if they make it anymore.

yes it does. it has 7-10 different colors available and a 'user defined' color where you can adjust it to whatever you want.

no i mean does it have the really nice display with graphics like the 990 or is it like a monocolor like if you choose blue or red, the display only shows either red or blue... like an alarm clock or is it like a phone? lol

not sure what you mean. you can set it to any color or you can have it randomly change colors.

im talking bout the display itself not illumination.. like the stuff u see of the screen, is it 1 color at a time or is it like an lcd and displays good multiple color images vs 1 solid color

It doesnt have a full color display.Solid illumination,but you can use multiple colors at the same time.You can have the display one color and the 2 knobs each a different color.Kinda cool..I guess.
