For the $150 range, I'd say X1600 XT or 7600GT ...

The conroe is the best out right now. I have been die hard AMD man Since the original SlotA Athlon(99). I wouldn't hesitate to recomend the Conroe Duo.I'm not here to argue Processors. From 2 different computer forums and 1 other sound forum many people who owned AMD x2 processors suggested the duo core 2. If I go back to processors my head is going to explode!
I listened to my onboard and compared it to my augegy 2, i rather use the audegy no matter what. I love the quality and maybe dfi is just not great at onboard, but i run the logitech x530 surround and i enjoy very wellThese days, unless you're a die-hard audiophile, onboard sound is more than adequate ... Digital optical output ftw ...
