Whew! Let me know if there's any concerns. I'll likely be ordering tomorrow afternoon.

Edit: The power supply size has been brought to my attention. If anyone knows of a microATX Power Supply that does at least 450w, please let me know.

I'm not here to argue Processors. From 2 different computer forums and 1 other sound forum many people who owned AMD x2 processors suggested the duo core 2. If I go back to processors my head is going to explode!

the intel duo is better then the AMD dont let any jackass tell you different.

If you are buying you processer retail you shouldnt need a aftermarker heatsink the OEM one will be fine unless your going to be overclosing or whatever.

On advice of you guys I changed the PSU. The size is identical to what I have in my computer now. Let me know what you think.

Well, looks like I'm going to be scratching off my list completely. Went to a shop today and the guy said that I can't use a conventional microATX mobo in my tower, we tried. I think I'm just going to scrap everything and start all over. Not even use the parts from my computer that might be good. The chances of my HDD & optical drives surviving are slim. However, they will be tested in a new unit before the new optical & HDD are put in. If the old ones work, then I'll send the new ones back. Just going to get everything I might need in case.

Should I start a new post on a complete computer build, or continue here? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

This is a tentative list. I'm not sure about the mobo, but I think it will work. I was hoping to stay under $650 for everything. If you guys see anything that could be toned down a notch let me know.

Remember, I'm doing no gaming. However, I will be doing some moderate video editing in the future.

I'm thinking about getting this case: it comes with 450w PSU, which is recommended by the graphics card I've chosen (thanks Jmac for the recommendations, I just can't afford to get the 7600 cards, I looked at a bunch). Now, will giving exactly 450w be sufficient? Or do I NEED to go higher?

Antec Sonata II

I'm also looking at this firewire/usb add-on. Is there a way I can use this to take advantage of the front usb/1394 ports on the front of the Antec case?
