FINAL box specs which ones ot use??

the box plans given on the sticky...

box2

the box2 which i put custom measurements comes out to a net volume of 1.0cubes and is tuned at 32Hz...

the box1 even though it says 1.25cubes comes out to be a net of 1.18cubes and the tuning chnages to 33Hz.

So should i stick with my design? or the ones from the sticky? the only difference is that box 1 shows a higher of 1.5dB at around 40Hz in WinISD, where box 2 shows 0.9dB so which one should i go for? which one would sound better quality wise? and which one would sound louder? and hit more lows?

those plans are without sub displacement so if you added the displacement you would end up with smaller NET volume and higher tuning.

yeah the values i gave for cubes is with my sub's displacement subtracted already

i just want to know if using box1 or box 2 would be better for quality and which one for loudness

depends on the subs then. what are you putting in this box and in what type of vehicle and how much space you have to work with.

its one alpine 10" type r 300rms

there is enouf room for either one of the designs i'm just lookign to find out what will sound better

i think the 1.0cubes @ 32hz would because on the manufacture manual it says that 1.0cubes is recommended?

so u think i should go with that?

or should i go with the 1.18cubes @33hz? cause its louder at 39hz(shown by winISD)

dont use either.

http://www.subwoofertools.com has a great calculator that can help you alot. its under panel layout.

im not a type r guru but 1.5cuft seems better considering you only have 300watts. a larger box will help with efficiency so its louder. tune from 32-35hz and you should be happy
