so this is a simple question ... i hope.

how well can a FB box hold up compared to a wood/MDF box?

i dont want to give up any space in my vehicle, but i have some platic interior in the cargo area that i think would be great to FB and throw a 8 inch sub in. If this was done in wood or MDF, i dont think it would turn out too great, or it would be pretty complicated that it would cost $$$ as i would want both sides done.

this is the area im talking about below. this is a good amount of space that is behind that plastic.

anyone think they can tackle this?

as for subs.. i would like to throw an SA8 v2 in each side. If i could do a 10, i would prolly go that route instead.

i was thinking the subs could face forward (facing the back of the rear seats) but i suppose it could go on the side too, just would need a good enough grill because im always throwing stuff in the back.

would like it ported and tuned to something in the 30's.

If anyone is serious, i could get pics with the sides removed, and anythign else needed so you have a good idea what your working with

that looks more like tire wells? you might want see if those are actually plastic and not just a plastic cover

your right, it is the tire wells, but the wells dont actually come up too high in there.

ill get a pic up with the plastic removed so you have a better idea.

Yea.. More pics please. Are you wanting it actually in the well or are you wanting to build higher/outward?

if fiberglass is the route you want to go, i'd make a fiberglass mold of the panel that currently goes over that and use that to start. if you have templates that is always good to place those to get an idea of how you want it to look.

so driver side looks like there is less room than the pass side.... but if i use that area all the way up to the window line, that should be more than enough on each side for 8/10 subs + displacement.
