Fi Q vs Stereo Integrity MAG V3

ok i will try to redo the system in one of my cars. i seen a couple of subs i kinda like and narrowed down to 12"Fi Q vs 12"Stereo Integrity MAG V3.

I listen to r&b,hiphop,freestyle and salsa and other spanish music so im kinda concerned with SQ.

I dont have an amp so what will be a good match for any of these 2 subs. thanks

The mag has better SQ than the Q. The Q will be a tiny bit louder though.

Yes im looking into the sundown 1500 theres a couple i see for sale.

Hum mixed reviews about the subs. what to do?

The only thing that im leaning toward the Q is that it doesnt need much space in sealed or ported.

I dont know about the mag?

I'm pretty sure they like the same boxes.

I'm probably one of the few people who have heard both in a direct swap. In a box built within the specs for both drivers , ( 4.5 cubes with 3 4" aeros tuned to 32hz ) the mags sounded ALOT better than the q's. The q's sounded muddy and nowhere near as crisp as the mag. Now maybe you can build a box to make the q sound as good or even better, but in my direct swap out, the mag was alot better.

The q was about .1-.2db louder than the mag in the direct swap tho.

Stereo integrity 12" Mag Dual 2 ohms v4 subwoofer anyone tried them?

cuz the one i was looking at was the Si mag dual 2 V3 they have a totally different back and seem shallower.

Just curious... what didn't you like about your 12W7 and D9?

Dont get me wrong they are both some great sounding subs but they require a lot space for them to sound nice.

I want something that doesnt need to much space. so the q and the mag only need about 1 cubic foot sealed.

The Mag v4's are meant for sealed applications in 1 cubic foot. They should NOT be ported by any means. They are very good SQ subs. The v4's are MUCH shallower than the v3's and are quieter, but are SQ subs.

The v3 on the other hand has a bigger motor, not as shallow, and is much more an "SQL" sub. Meaning, it has SQ while still getting very loud (many say this is an oxymoron as getting loud itself implies no SQ). The v3 you will only get used, as it is not made anymore. It sounded really good, and gets very loud. I have owned one myself.

Thats a v4 and is the low power uber sq nerd driver.

I got to hear one and it sounded magnificant
