fi q sub identification

I just recently picked up a q12 sub. I recieved the sub a few weeks ago and it doesn't have any identifying tags or engravings that I can find. There isn't a build sheet or white sheet or invoice for that matter in the box. I don't have much of a trained eye on custom subwoofers. So, How does one know that a sub on my door step is the sub I ordered? Is the model/option tag hidden?

Same goes for resale, how does a would be buyer know that the sub is what the seller says it is?

Thanks,

To clairify, I bought this new from Fi Audio. The photo isn't the best, it's the only one I have on my phone.

After contacting Fi Audio,

Fi doesn't provide any type of idenifying tags, marks, engravings on their products. The shape of the sub is the only way to distingush the subwoofers. You can easily enough compare subs to say a Q is a Q or an X is an X.

So, How do you know if someone is selling you "full loaded" Q12 or a "base" Q12 ?

wow bout time they used a basket riser with the raised top plate. should do on the ssa woofers too...
Care to explain...?? I would like to know

the top plate is taller around the id and it goes up into the basket hole. which limits the rearward travel because the spider will bottom out on that part of the top plate about 3-4mm before touching the basket. the dc lvl5 same way...
