If you did, then try having it face rear, and slide it back a little closer to the hatch.

In the review I stated that it was facing to the rear and about a foot from the rear hatch.

Ok, I get the point, I didn't know the exact test parameters, just speculating. Regardless, just throwing loads of power onto it isn't a great idea either way.

They through power on it for fun, they had previously tested it with 3000 watts I believe.

He has enough power on tap to realistically push that sub to it's limits, especially ported. If anything I'd say he could gain more by switching boxes than adding power, which is much cheaper than getting more power to boot.
