4 18's... surface area ftw - by the way I assume your 1000 limit is just for the subs since you're going to need some good amps and like above posters have stated, a re-done electrical system.

I'm going to subvert the common paradigm here and suggest that the OP forgo any system of said magnitude in favor or something a little more subdued. You'd be putting a hell of a loud system and a ton of money into a vehicle that probably won't even be worth what you paid for the woofers alone.

Have you done any serious planning at all?

Do you have any wall plans? Do you know what kind of power your running vs. amps you want? And most importantly - do you have any idea of what kind of electrical upgrades you need to do and how expensive everything will add up?

OK so you have a good $1000 budget for subs you said. You're gonna have to more than double that for electrical upgrades and amps (assuming you don't have them).

Im not trying to nag you but Im just being realistic. You're what 16? How are you coming up with that money or is your parents buying everything?

As for my vote - 2 BTL's. Trust me you want be disappointed. Dont just throw all of the money at your subs and think of how everything will add up.

yes i have thought this through very hard, for right now im just goin with a deck and some components.

no i havent planned a wall design yet but i have an idea about it.

no my parents aint payin for SH*T, i told my dad if he buys my deck i will give him the subs($500), amp(550), Box(375---TTB), and all wiring for a 400 dollar deck and he wont do it...

i have a job selling things on ebay which last summer i made 2500 and this summer i have already dropped 2 grand on paintball stuff, i go around looking for antieques and stuff to sell.

most likely will go with the 2 btls for power wise.

yes i understand that i will need a new alternator or 2 and a few stingers and ALOT of 0 gauge...

this setup wont be for a while probably 6 months, but im planning now for it as i am going to have my cousin help me, he works at AMS and it a licensed installer so it should go well...thanks

awesome i do the same thing. i find memorabillia to sell on ebay. well good luck. i was onto you cuz at first i thought you like wanted to get all this done now lol. well you'll be set w/ the btl's. what amp(s) you getting?

thinkin about a hifonics goliath...dont really know yet but i have a 1100 dollar budget for an amp or amps. any other suggestions.
