ok tomorrow i am going to be installed a hifonics bxi2006d running 2 12 L7's but my questions are...

i am running 2 4 gauge wires to a block that has no fuses, then 0 gauge to the amp instead of trying to run 0 gauge...what fuse size should be on each 4 gauge wire...the amp is sopposed to be 2000rms at 1 ohm...

my last question is i am going to be doing the big 3, and if i run 0 gauge from the alternator to the battery...my alternator is only 110 amp, but everyone says dont worry about that fuse it to the size of the wire not to the things hooked up to it....but my question is, if my alternator is 110A and i have 200A fuse in it, wont it blow my alternator before it blows the fuse in the case of something happening?

80-100 amp per 4-gauge would be good. What size fuse is recommended for that amp?
As for the big 3 question, I don't know.

well i think the amp is internally fused with a 200 amp fuse...so i was thinking of doing 75 on each to have 150 amp total....other suggestions would be appreciated too, and i would like to know about the fuse for 0 gauge running from the alternator to the battery.

Just fuse to the wire, because like you said, fuses protect wire, not equipment.

Not completely sure what size 0ga needs, probably a couple hundred amps, and most 4ga needs between 80 and 120 amp fuses. So you should have 3 fuses total, one by the batt, and two by the distro block.

As for your alternator concerns, don't worry. Electricity always flows from the highest electrical potential to the lowest. So while your car is running your alternator is the primary source of power with the highest voltage, when the bass hits and your alternator's output is exceeded, the voltage of the alternator drops sharply, and when it gets below about 12V, power will be drawn from your battery instead of the alternator. So in the event of a short, your alternator should be fine, your battery will be drained briefly, but ultimately the fuses will pop instantaneously so there is nothing to worry about either way.

so even if i put a 150 amp fuse on the 0 gauge going from the alternator and the battery and my alternators rating is only 110A i wont blow my alternator before the fuse blows?

Correct.

The power output of your alternator varies directly with the engine RPMs. An alternator is only physically capable of putting out a certain amount of power, and if it can't keep up with the demand, the power will simply be drawn from elsewhere, i.e. your battery.
