if you like to offroad......look for a toyota 4runner anywhere from 97-2004 with a locking rear differential.

some of them have it. even if you didnt find one with the e locker, put a 3 inch coilover suspension lift on it and it will walk all over those cherokees.

plus the 3.4 v6 is extremely reliable and can easily be ran over 200k miles, and you get toyota reliablity with it

I definetly agree here. If you have got the cash a Toyota 4runner would be a great choice. My parents have an 04 that they bought new. It just turned over 98k and we have done nothing too it besides tires, brakes and the regular upkeep stuff.

Hate to be a Dbag but i hate traiblazers my friend has one and it sits way to close to the ground and he has lost controll and spun out before and almost hit a telephone pole and they are terrible offroad just not what im looking for...
And i do like the 4runner just would rather have the V8 jeep with more power and all...

My Friend Has a 4runner tha has the Rear lockers and my other friend has a jeep Rubicon you dont wanna know which one got flooded one day it was the 4runner the Jeep Rubuicon is amazing but too expensve

well thats why i said the cherokee.. of course the rubicon would walk all over the 4 runner. its smaller, lighter, better drivtrain, solid axle, etc...

if you wanna compete with a rubicon than get a toyota tacoma or just a toyota pickup, SAS it (solid axle swap), lift it, front and rear lockers, and bob the bed. then you have something that will be better than the rubicon for cheaper.

i love toyotas and love what they can do. they are awesome trail rigs and have awesome potential.

i dont like those gen cherokees for offroad. no lockers= lame my sister has an 01 cherokee. it is ok offroad but nothing special. my stock tacoma was better

now the rubicon wranglers on the otherhand... i love those. prettty **** sweet. front and rear lockers, solid axles, mts, all stock! yes please

trail blazers dont have that deep of a cargo area sucks for a stereo lol 26 deep but 44 wide. jeeps are blah worked on them for a long time what junk imo. i beat the living crap ont of my pathfinder with no probs at all 109k of driving hard. gets through anything. same with the 4runner awesome truck. xterra is awesome also. just wish the imports had alternators as easy to get to as the domestics lol. not bashing the domestics i was going to get a trailblazer ss 3ss till i realized it had 26 deep. so im gettin a tahoe lol

cherokees are pieces of shit..period.

shit goes wrong with them left and right.they are honestly crap.why do u think u see like 20 of them on craigslist for like 800 dollars .lol

and u see all the gay *** kids that think there cool with them and rip the fenders off and lift it a bit and think there rad 4wheeler. becasue there cheap as hell

but ya if its like a 2000+ one there decent,and those 4runners listed above are crap they pretty much ruined it when they went to that body style imo

My friends have offroad vehicles and they look sweet recently i wantd to get like a used subura WRX or a Neon SRT-4 for my 18th birth day for a car to college now my parents said that they would rather me have a safer car like a jeep. I am currently looking at a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4X4. im looking at like the 2000-2004 model i believe the rounded back not the mopdel of the SRT8 those are to expensive haha and the older ones that have the V8 are like $10K which isnt bad my friend has one with the I6 an i love to drive it just wodering if anybody has any feedback for these vehicles: Ie: offroading, electronics, performanc...(prolly put an exhaust and intake.) ]Thanks

4Runners do not come with lockers. 4Runners post 1990, are not for wheeling.
