Gettin the spider, dustcap, and surround off clean would **** balls if you could even accomplish it. It would be worth ordering a new recone to not have to even try that.
File a claim, get a recone and basket, come out ahead. Call the seller names for the packaging.

filing a claim is going to be a *****.. i entered in the wrong amount "oops" and there asking for proof of payment.. (i could always photoshop some paypal)

between the paper padding, supports that look to be less than an inch thick, thin plywood and a regular carboard box, that thing was never going to make it...

you PROBABLY don't want to tell us the sellers name, but make sure to send him to this thread to see the damage, and send him here to read up on proper packaging...

even with such poor packaging... how the **** does something get that torn apart.. you think after the top came off they would have taken better care of it...

only way that happend was if it was tumbled or dropped a few time or thrown in a washing machine...

Just don't get it on your hands or anywhere else you don't want it, it dries like a piece of steel and is even hard to grind off of some surfaces.

shit i just found 2 more cracks near the bass of the motor... they dont seem that deep but none the less they are cracks.

Ill be using lots of that jb wels stuff down there for sure...

Whats the best way to apply this stuff?

Should i just sand/clean the surface or should it scuff it up so the putty has something to grab on to?
