Amplifier blowing

I have a Kenwood DDX 6019 DVD Head unit with a 1000WATT RMS Alpine PDX 1.1000 and a one JL W7 13.5Inch.

I have the gain setup at 75%, and if I turn my gain or my volume up too high all the fuses on the back of my amp. My sub should be able to perform better and its not due to these fuses blowing. Any suggestions??

Thanks.

Back the gain down and see how the fuses hold up. Its not a volume control and you are using it as so cause your sub is not performing as you think it should. To help with the performance of your sub, make or buy a custom enclosure made to the specs of your sub.

And definitely re-check your wiring, starting with your ground.

ya def check ur ground that can really kill ur performance if its a bad ground ur amp wont be getting the love it needs.

just out of curiousity what size ground n power wire are u using..awg?

so you have a 100a draw... ( 4 x 25) so you need 100a fuse up at ur batt... nothing less nothing bigger.... just 100a fuse..
WRONG...do not fuse to your amplifier rating, fuse to you wire size. the reason the fuses are on the amp is to protect the amp, the fuse is on the wire is to protect the wire. unless his amp requires an external fuse, there is no reason that he should have 100 amp fuse inline with the wire. unless thats the max amperage that his wire can handle, therefor he would need bigger wire.

what size wire are you running?
