dqt because digital owns analog 31 bands only not matched digi-eq that takes fiber in is the orion deq 30 but its about 200 more than the audiocontrol. since most decks dont have fiber out i recomend the ac unit
I know i was just offering another option and asking for myself at the same time. The other day there was an audiocontrol eq on ebay it only went for like $100
For the casual audiophile (oxymoron?), the AC EQL 13band is a great choice IMO. Enough channels for some good tweaking but not too many to need an expensive RTA and mic to tune it.
my EQX kiccs ***. it has a crossover. and it doesnt use a knob to adjust the crossover.. it uses solid-state circuit resistors. you don't need to worry about tuning your crossover settings with it..
I think the Audio Control four.1 does a nice job also. True it only four bands plus a parametric base band but that keeps it pretty simple. And the frequencys are pretty well spaced. You dont need an rta to set it up , just play with it and tune to your liking. And it serves as a line driver.
