faulty install mess up your starter?

well i drove home today and now my car wont start. i did some faulty installing im pretty sure because thats what my dad told me aboyt my system. Right now my car wont start. it dosnt even make the chchcha sound. it jus clicks one and then theres dead silence. is there somehow i shocked something. or is it the cause of my system. i dont want my dad mad at me cuz im trying to get a m3 kit for my senior project

naw my system works and everything. it isnt drained

we even tried to boost it with our booster. no work

is your remote wire hooked up to the 12v lead on your amp by any chance?

Mine did that, it was the battery, completely drained. Get it tested

my battery had been drained to 9v overnight... head unit would still turn on.. check ur batt and recheck all of the wiring you did.

yea but its weird. cuz it started the morning then i drove home. i live 2 mins away and then i try and start it 20 minutes lkater and nothing. weve been charging it and still no go

infiniti i30. 1997. it has to deal with my system. someway, somehow my system caused it

Those cars are pretty funny, theres a fusible link on the battery, it looks like two plugs going into a red thing. One controls the starteer and alternator, it could be that is blown. Its happened on my Maxima which is pretty much the same car.

I'd say get your starter checked. They can go out without warning.

Also, I had a bad battery once. Everything worked fine until I tried to start the car. The battery had an internal short. took it out and had it tested and it showed total crap when put on a load. Put in a new battery and everything worked like a champ.

it could very likely be a loose wire on your starter. check all of your connections before getting a ride to the parts store.
