False Floor for Tahoe

it doesnt flow? to me atleast. there is gaps on both sides, and the right side has a much larger gap than left. work looks awsome. but i woulda planned a little better.
That's because, the spare tire's missing as well as the entire right side wall panel (have a lot a dynamating left to do...), not finished, but I do assure you, when I'm done it will all be flush.

And, there will be more pics

I noticed the spare after I posted. I still think you should make a cap for the wires and since I didn't see the spare tire make it look like it's part of what's holding the spare up.

Getting ready to finish my false floor,

Need to deaden the walls of my Tahoe, put the wall panels back-up, and the spare back-in,

Oh, need to install my ceramic resistors first.

just have the fans run all the time.

if you need to, pick up some 10W 10Ohm Ceramic Resistors from Radioshack...

if those are computer 12v fans, then they will be running faster then they should anyway... throw in a 10W 10Ohm ceramic resistor and it will drop the voltage to the fans by about 3 volts. I did this to make my 8cm fans run at around 10v instead of 14.4
My fans do a great job cooling the amps (way more than what's necassary)

but, the have a bit of a whistle to them, so I'm gonna slow em' down a little.

These resistors will drop them closer to 10 volts

Thankx GCAdidas13!!!

What are you running your fans off of?
A power source... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

~13.8V when they are sapposed to be run at 12V

*edit* The actual power that the fans are getting is coming from that big 1/0 gauge wire going into that distro block. From there it goes to that relay we were just talking about. When the HU is on that relay then sends power to the fans.

Just so you know... you could get a thing called a thermistor. Basically, when the temperature goes up the resistance would go up or down. Obviously, you would want the latter so that when the temp got high the fans would go faster. Also about the diode on the relay thing there is a diagram of it on the bcae site and I think I have the link. It is not exactly the same cuz the relay is running a light but it is theoretically the same thing.http://www.bcae1.com/swrelay.htm

Finally had a chance to finish my false floor...

Where would I get a thermistor???

That's what I really need.....

what link do you use off of image shack to get the larger images? I always get the little ones with the dimensions at the bottom.
There is three sets of links at the top and three on the bottom (after you select "host it!")

--use the top of the three at the bottom section (just be sure to resize your photo or it'll be hugh!!!)

--> the "Hotlink for forums (1)"
