Factory renewed???

Has anyone had experience with amps (one is question is Kicker) that are factory renewed? I can save 40 bucks on the amp if I get a refurb and put that money towards a sub. Is it worth it?? Thanks.

If the extra 40 not only gets you a new amp but also a warranty, spend the extra cash for new... if its new vs refurb, it's a toss up to me... I've had no problem with refurbs, but there are many that have... I would buy one again, but i know many that wouldn't

i have a refurb zx750.1 that works perfectly fine layin around.

For only $40 difference....NO! Now if it's $100 or so cheaper then you may have something there (I used to own a Kicker 4 channel that was a refurb and was $105 less than retail and the thing worked great).

Not sure which amp, more than likely the Kicker zx300.1. I am in search of some subs, so the amp depends on the sub, but it will probably be that one or an alpine 400 watt amp. I probably will play it safe and get the new one, $40 aint much for an extra bit of security.
