I had a hifonics brutus1600 with a kinetik and alpine 15" type R's in a 99 deville but want to downsize and avoid straining my electrical on my "new" car. I have a 02 dts that runs @14.7-14.9 volts. The alternator is a 140. Ive been looking at Kicker dx1000.1 and RF R1200.1 due to the claim of it having a small footprint. I do not and will not upgrade my electrical. I want this to work with what i have....even if it means downgrading. I want the P2 12x2 in the rockford box. Simple.....not building and tuning a box. Been there done that.....too old to devote the time. Im not even installing this time. Given the info provided...is this acheivable?

I love the RF P2's. Not a bad sub at all. I'm a sucker for matching brands with each other though so RF gets my vote. What ohm will u be running at? I'm guessing 2 ohms? That would be 800 watts (as said on the specs sheet). I think you would be fine with good wiring. Best of luck!!

Thanks! The P2 2x12 box is pre wired to 1ohm but i figured i didnt have to use the amp at full gain, so not to put so much strain on it. Im looking for a long term/ final setup. I tried to ride with the factory which isnt awfulbut I just cant do it. The sub just doesnt do it at all This i hope will give me the bass i need for the long haul! I like the idea of matching as well.
