factory alarms/remote starts

Even though I just completed a mobile electronics course,the one thing they didn't teach us was how to install a remote start on a vehicle with a factory alarm,I know a few people that are interested in this,however they don't want 2 remotes.How can this be done?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

use the factory locks to triger the remote start using 2 or 3 pulses and where possible use the factory alarm disarm wire plus a rrelay to disarm the factory alarm using the vehicles factory alarm disam wire.

Use the aftermarket brain to disarm factory alarm... simple... all aftermarket remote starts come with a status output or factory alarm disarm wire...

Depending on what kind of car it is you may need a bypass module.

do you still have to hook the antenna up is your using the activation input?

no you dont as the factory keyless will be used to trigger the remote start

Or just buy a system that's intended to upgrade factory keyless.
