F150, what subs?

Ok, well a friend is going to be buying subs in the next month or so. He is wondering what sub(s) he should get. He would like to fit it in the area where the seat pulls up behind the driver. Its a 1998 F150 if that helps paint a pic of where were putting it. We were thinking a single 10 or 12. His budget would be around 400 between the sub/amp/wiring. I was thinking an SDC2.5 or RE SE or DD 1500 series or 2500(used prolly). I was wondering what would be the best choice for around $150 used/new. Thanks for any help,

Those are good subs...but his budget needs to increase a little. It's fairly hard to have a decent system with only $400.

I'd go with the DD 1512 IMO

SE12 w/ like a kicker 750.1 would be pretty sweet, then grab a KnuKonceptz wiring kit.
