Umm spare batts are great to have when the car is turned off to listen to music..

His car is dimming when he is driving when the ALT should be putting out its full potential, so there is basically no need for a battery which acts as a small buffer..

If the alt is not producing who gives a shit about how many batteries you have, they will all run dry with out the alt to charge them..

i cant run my amp unless my car is on....it just doesnt turn on....i need aother new batt then?

but extra batts act as a much larger buffer than most people think, thats what the cranking amp rating is for...i had horrible dimming till the point where i could shut my car off and and i put in 2 extra batts and i hold at 13.8-14.1 at full tilt. the more terminals you can pull power from the more power you are able to get. thats why the kenitic power cells that are modifyed to hold at 18 volts have extra terminals added on to them and modifyed cells in the batteries.
