I mean, If you could find factual evidence that they were trying to slow down the court system so you would eventually be FORCED to pay the settlement, couldn't you get them back for that?

Assuming that you may actually be facing a lawsuit, your best bet is not to discuss the facts of the case. Granted, reading threads on ca.com is probably not their typical way of proving their case -- but it sounds to me like they are going to be asking to take a peek at your computer (although perhaps you will be able to avoid that with respect to the pc you are currently using since you did not have it back then)
