Extra Battery

How would I go about wiring another battery to my car to run my system. I have 2500 watts pushing 8 12's . And 500 watts on 6 6x9's. Do I ground the extra battery to the car and the power wire to the alternator??/

you have to get a battery isolator which does inline from the (+) of the main battery to the (+) of the secondary. Then the (-) of the secondary gets grounded to the frame. So The primary battery gets hooked up as usual. Then the secondary battery, the one your adding, hooks up like i said above.
