exterior sound deatener

It probably would, but you'd have to get every bit of grease and grime off first. You'd also have to take off any protective plates or plastic. It would be much easier to use liquid/spray deadener or regular undercoating. Trying to get deadoner all over the bottom would be a *****!

Why not put it on the interior????

well, I dont really feel like removing all the interior(custom Astro van) and all I want to do with it is deadten the exhaust with the extra 50sqft I will have. It is not very greasy in the area I will use it, it will just have a little dirt in it.

Vance...............if you thinking of putting on the exhaust........

hopefully you are just talking of the area above the exhaust right?

Come on now, give me some credit here, of course I was going to put it on the bottom of the floor above the exhaust. I dont feel like waisting all that deadtener and time to install it by doing something stupid like that. Na, it will go on the van's undercarage.

Basicly, my bottom line question is, will water and all the elements make the sound deatener peel off or should I just pull the interior and install it on the floor?

Do it right and pull out the interior... Why take the chance....

Ok, I didn't even think of getting the ryno liner(always thought about it). It was just an idea cause I am getting 100sqft and only plan on using about 50 of it on the doors(reason why I got it) and I was thinking of things to use it on the easiest. If I do it, I will probably tear out the interior. Thanks
