Existing hu speaker wires after active component install

What do I do with the existing wires from hu after I connect my 2 ch amp up to my xovers? Just tape them off or cut them off at the wire harness? How does my deck ( kenwood hd 5495) determine which wires (speaker wire vs rca wire) takes precedence over the other?

just tape them of make sure they are individually taped or capped off do not cut "just in case" for future use

i cut mine. that wire is too small for anything really
