Ex-cab truck box

Im going to do an install in an ex cab dodge. which way have you guys pointed the subs for best results? Sub and port up or forward? I don't want to do a wall, did that in a toyota and in a daily driver didn't like the no visability of it so I am only going about 3 inches above the bottum of the widow ledge.

i've done sub forward port up, and sub forward port sideways, i say sub forward port sideways is the loudest i have personally done.
