RF Punch Stage 3 Shallow 12's

A friend of mine just ordered 2 of the RF Punch Stage 3 Shallow 12" subwoofers and he is wanting me to build a box for these subs to fit in his regular cab silverado...I am assuming that a ported box will be louder than sealed so thats what im gonna do....if i have enough room...i am getting measurements sometime this weekend.

my question is, what tuning would be best for these subs? Rockford calls for 1.25 cubes for ported boxes....should i go bigger, smaller, or stay with 1.25 cubes?

any help would be appreciated as i have never used ANY rockford fosgate equipment.
