Everything hooked up but subwoofer isnt loud???help plz

hey guys i just got my deck today hooked it all up and the speakers are all working good the decks good but u can barely hear the sub? like only way u can hear like any base it with the bass booster frequaency and gains all the way up?? any 1 ever have a similar probelm not sure wut it owould be form?

Check the wiring, see if it's out of phase. Switch the (-) wire with the (+), on the amplifier.

What kind of head unit do you have? Is there a way to control the subwoofer output with your deck? I know my Alpine has subwoofer controls.

hey u meant the +- for the spaeker wires ! if so i tired that nd didnt really do anything i got a kicker l7 12 and a zx1000 with a pioneer deh 5900 running at 4 ohms

is the sub moving? what size box is it in

it is a prefabbed kicker ported box tuned to around 38 hz and its moving like a couple mm like barely

k well i figured it out guys lol kind of duimb of me but wut ever lol i had the remote bass kno turned all the way down and i turned it up and she pounds now BUTTTT for some **** reason when ever the sub hits hard the speakers cut out? also what should i set my gains and setting s at for now? thnaks

Are your speakers amped, or running off the head unit?

To set the gain on your sub amp, first turn your gain all the way down

Turn all bass boost off, and all equalizers to flat, all loudness off

Put in a good recording of a song with good bass. Set it on loop.

Now turn your HU up to 3/4 volume, or when you start hearing your speakers distort (sound crappy), then turn it down a bit until it sounds good again.

Now slowly raise your subwoofer gain until your sub starts to distort or sound crappy. Or your other speakers start clipping out...

You may have to upgrade your electrical, I don't know. What does that amp put out?

umm aright ill try that in tha morning and! the amp puts out a 1000 watts but its only puttin out 500 rated rms right oow cuzits wired at 4 ohms!
