A decent car audio shop will post 40-45% margin easily. $280k+ in GP a year. Seems like a lot more than it is.

Yeah, I wonder what the overall COGS on an operation like that is. I am guessing it was fairly profitable in the previous economic conditions and now it barely generates enough to keep the doors open.

I know down here it's getting hit hard. Well, there is still some shops doing really well but, if you were a small little operation and generated sales from walk-ins alone, you're doing bad!

Additionally, I'd like to mention that the ad looks a little flaky. The story especially. LoL.

I think the store looks pretty nice. The garage is pretty cool. I wish i had the money. Good amount of remaining inventory too!

Need to fix up the outside of the building a little and I bet that would help some.....

I know the area very well, extremely affluent. In one of the wealthiest counties in the country.

Been to the shop once before when i was in the area, seemed pretty decent. They had a book of sum prior installs and it seemed like pretty good work.

It does seem a bit low for a "profitable" company. Price is usually based on one year's intake. Perhaps that is what he's pulling in.

So what kind of cars would they see in there? I assume some fairly high end units? The lease must be atrocious if the area is up-scale.
